The mission statement:
"As part of the bicentennial celebration of Ohio (1803-2003) there has been a commitment made to honor the veterans of Defiance County by collecting and preserving a written history of their service. This project has evolved into a searchable database that provides key facts which will assist researchers in locating additional information on armed forces/militia veterans of all eras who were born in, lived in, died in, or were buried in Defiance County. This database is available to the public. The project is dynamic in nature. We encourage input from all sources."

This project represents a partnership between:
  • Defiance County Chapter of the Ohio Genealogical Society
  • Defiance County Veteran's Affairs Office
  • Defiance Public Library
  • Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post #3360, of Defiance
  • Individual Researchers
